January 14, 2009

An excellent presentation by The Economist. The content is somewhat slanted towards supporting print investment, but some interesting thoughts and it looks great!

Pretty Loaded

January 14, 2009

Brooklyn’s Big Spaceship has set up Pretty Loaded, an archive of website preloading screens – the visuals that come up while you are waiting for a website to load. The agency’s Michael Lebowitz describes it as “a history/gallery/short-attention-span-theater of preloaders”.

Christmas eCards

December 17, 2008

Christmas eCards are always crap and that’s a fact, but every digital agency (actually no everyone) will attempt to create one that breaks the mold and on the whole they fail.

M&CSaatchi have done such a great job, i just had to post it. Great idea, well written and wonderfully executed – brilliant.

The Barack Obama campaign spent $500k on Facebook ads during his campaign creating huge online support through social networking web. However Facebook themselves created the largest online rally in history, encouraging just under 5 million people to tell others to vote using their status updates.

The opportunities to use Facebook for marketing purposes are often and varied, but I wonder whether the humble status update could be the most powerful tool going? Check this out.
